Who needs to be able to understand ECGs?

ECG is the single, most important entrance skill to critical and high acuity care. As a health care provider, having a baseline of ECG knowledge is essential.

Who needs to understand 12-lead ECGs?

A 12-lead ECG provides a deeper view of the heart, allowing for rapid diagnosis, directions in treatment and clues to countless disease states.

It’s not as hard as you might think. If you’ve taken our Six Second ECG Intensive or Mastery Courses, you can become skilled in 12-lead interpretation in a day!

ECG Identification or Interpretation? What’s the difference?

Naming a rhythm is one thing. Understanding it well enough to take action is quite another. True ECG interpretation maps physical assessment and health history with ECG findings to form a dynamic clinical impression. This allows you to jump into action when the patient needs you most. Identifying a rhythm – naming a rhythm, measuring intervals and heart rate— has limited value if the significance of the rhythm is not understood. In our courses, you’ll get both.

What do I get when I complete an ECG course with SkillSTAT?

You will receive a SkillSTAT successful completion card for any ECG course that you complete. For the Six Second ECG Mastery Course, if you achieve a score of 80% or higher, you get a certificate that includes the criteria you have met. ECG Mastery is the only ECG course that has a formal evaluation.
